What are some health tips to prevent acne and help acne breakouts? read the details?

Question by crystal spring: What are some health tips to prevent acne and help acne breakouts? read the details?
i’ve had acne on and off since i was 13- so for 9 years. i’ve used pro-activ, neutrogena, all types of anti-biotics and they just don’t work.
i get some pimples on my face, back, chest, and shoulders. they come and go, right now it is pretty bad again.
i am wondering what natural things i can do to lessen my acne.
i don’t drink, smoke, or do drugs.
i eat mostly fruits and veges, with no pork and beef, but like chicken, turkey, and seafood.
i also try to exercise a few hours a week, i meditate, etc.
i need to drink more water.
i think the dehydration is part of it.
i also know acne is hereditary, my mom had it in her youth as well.
i’ve gone to dozens of dermatologists.
just to say, and i’ve tried everything. i think i might just have to outgrow my acne.
i have used dove and ivory soap and it helps with my oily skin.
thanks for smart advice.

Whatever the cause, these unsightly bumps are embarrassing and ugly and we will do whatever it takes to get rid of them. Thousands of dollars are spent by the individual yearly to try, and eradicate these spots with no results when all the time the answer is usually hidden in what we eat. As we know, we should stay away from fried and processed foods. We should follow a basic diet, eating lots of dark-green or orange vegetables which should be eaten slightly cooked or raw for best results. Here are some other helpful suggestions. ¼ cup of flax seeds daily, taken with at least 8 oz of water.
