September 6, 2011 – Minister Cadieux attended the grand opening of Pacific Coast University for Workplace Health Services in Port Alberni. The new university is the first of its kind in British Columbia, offering workplace health education programs with a focus on occupational safety, rehabilitation and disability management. The Minister announced 0,000 in funding from WorkSafeBC that will help establish a research chair focusing on occupational health and safety.
