i am a 14 year old girl and i started smoking due to peer pressure i really want to quit my parents keep trying to help me and i do it at school and i really don’t like it and i want some good health tips and good ways to keep away from them and no sarcastic things i live in the UK and my freinds get the cigerettes. thanks
Answer by Rebecca Keep away from the friends that give you cigerettes as they are not a good influence on you because they are giving you them and they know the effects of what they can do it you at a young age… If you get rid of the people who are giving you the temptation then that will help, also try the nicorette inhaler and the patchs, just try any and see what helps you best 🙂

This is the VOA Special English Health Report, from voaspecialenglish.com | http Bad teeth can be painful — and worse. They can even be deadly. Infections of the gums and teeth can release bacteria into the blood system. Those bacteria can increase the chances of a heart attack or stroke and worsen the effects of other diseases. And adults are not the only ones at risk. For example, in two thousand seven, doctors in the Washington area said a boy died when a tooth infection spread to his brain. They said it might have been prevented had he received the dental care he needed. He was twelve years old. Experts at the National Institutes of Health say good dental care starts at birth. Breast milk, they say, is the best food for the healthy development of teeth. Breast milk can help slow bacterial growth and acid production in the mouth. But dentists say a baby’s gums and early teeth should be cleaned after each feeding. Use a cloth with a little warm water. Do the same if a baby is fed with a bottle. Experts say if you decide to put your baby to sleep with a bottle, only give the child water. When baby teeth begin to appear, you can clean them with a wet toothbrush. Dentists say it is important to find soft toothbrushes made especially for babies and to use them very gently. The use of fluoride to protect teeth is common in many parts of the world. For example, it is often added to drinking water supplies. The fluoride mixes with enamel, the hard surface on teeth, to help …
For nearly 15 years, Cynthia Lair’s iconic cookbook Feeding the Whole Family has been the source for parents who want to cook one healthy meal for the entire family, including babies. Feeding the Whole Family starts with the basics of creating a whole foods diet, from understanding grains and beans to determining what meats are acceptable to eat. Lair then applies these lessons to cooking for young children and babies aged six months and older. In each recipe, Lair offers special instruction on how to adapt it so that younger children can enjoy the dish while parents can eat a more complicated version. All recipes utilize easy-to-find ingredients, are simple to follow, and will be enjoyable for both child and parent. With a new foreword by Mothering magazine’s editor and founder Peggy O’Mara, Feeding the Whole Family is a necessary staple for all families.
Question by : What are some easy healthy dinner ideas for a family with 2 young boys?
My husband and I are overweight and have started changing our diet to healthier portions/options and have added exercise to our daily routine. We are losing weight and feeling great and we are happier which makes our kids happier too! Anyway, I was just wondering if I could get some healthy, fast, kid-friendly dinner ideas! We are getting a little bored with the same few meals! 🙂 I would also love healthy breakfast, lunch and snack options! What are your favorites? Thank you!
Answer by hopingforachange Some good dinner ideas could be a veggie stir-fry, chicken broccoli casserole, shepard’s pie, salmon and rice, and chicken fajitas. Smart Pop popcorn is a good snack. Also, peanut butter and carrots, warmed apples with cinnamon (just warm the apples in a microwave for a couple minutes), almonds, and frozen grapes. Hope this gives you some ideas.
