One week of extreme school and stress and studies. What would you do to prepare?

Question by Jazilliania B: One week of extreme school and stress and studies. What would you do to prepare?
So I’ll be having a huge, crazy, stressful week in which my entire degree rests upon.

What would you do:
1. In preparation
2. During the week

I’m trying different natural/alternative health methods to improve and maintain my health so I have maximum effectiveness during this week.

Any herbs, foods, supplements, etc., etc., that might help me better survive?

Any other non-health tips would be helpful, too.

Ugh.. I have final exams next week.. Here are some good ideas:
In preparation:
1. Find a quiet, well lighted place to study where nobody will bother you.
2. Play some soft background music that will calm you
3. Have no other distractions (keep your cell phone and TV away from you)
4. Eat four well-balanced meals a day and drink plenty of water.
5. Buy an exercise ball and video
6. Do pilates or yoga.
7. Meditate just by clearing your mind
8. Take a 15 minute break every 30 minutes when you’re studying to unwind and relax
9. Have plenty of Advil
10. Never drink energy drinks, they can cause you to crash
11. Make sure you get plenty of sleep. Buy yourself some earplugs and a sleeping mask and sleep for at least 8 hours a night.
12. If you have any friends who are in the same class, make a study group and study together. Its way better than studying alone!
During the week:
1. Read over your notes right before the exams or whatever you have to do. That way, you will remember the most.
2. Don’t over-study

Fitness tips to prepare to join the Army?

Question by : Fitness tips to prepare to join the Army?
I want to join the army, and I would like some fitness tips so I can whip my butt into shape. I’m almost 16 right now, and I’m not really in shape. Any advice from people who have any kind of military experience would be great, or if you just know some tips. Thanks!

Hey man,

You will need to build mental toughness more than anything, but you will learn that once you join.

you should start out by doing 200-300 push-ups, 200-300 sit-ups, and 50-100 pull-ups everyday. It does not have to be all at once.

You will need to get your general fitness levels up. The best way to do that is by doing this

Jumping jacks-30 seconds
shuffle splits- 30 seconds
mountain climbers- 30 seconds
burpess 30 seconds.

repeat that 3-4 times. Before joining the army you should be doing that for 30 minutes a day.

That should help you get started. If you have anymore questions, please ask.

Good luck.

As a student I dont get much time to prepare food. Please give me some tips how to make food quickly using the readymade and semi ready made food available in the market like wholegrain bread, multi-seed bread, ciabatta rolls with which I can make something like side dish or stuff someting in it or other options are pasta salads. I need healthy quick not out of a box meals to prepare during my kids sports seasons?

Question by S G: I need healthy quick not out of a box meals to prepare during my kids sports seasons?
We are getting to the time of year when we have to hurry to a ballfield of some sort every evening. I still want to be able to prepare a somewhat healthy meal for my family within about 30 to 45 minutes. We are trying to eat healthier and not prepare things like hamburger helper etc. I have 5 or 6 recipes but need to add to my stash.

You could season and cook a few chicken breasts in a fry pan and serve with chicken flavored rice (rice-a-roni is my fav) and a veggie (I like to use frozen veggies versus canned, I think the quality is better)

What do you think? Answer below!
