Is it fair for schools to restrict the kinds of foods children may bring in their snacks and lunches? Why?

Question by : Is it fair for schools to restrict the kinds of foods children may bring in their snacks and lunches? Why?
Some schools only sell low fat and zero calories food, in order to keep students healthy or whatever reason. Do you agree with it? Why or why not?

i agree to a point. people are feeding their kids three times as much as they should these days, not to mention it’s a ton of junk. at least the school is doing SOMETHING. i don’t agree that they shouldn’t allow kids to eat what they bring, that’s going a little too far.

as for the school actually providing a healthy alternative, though – good job. i wish more parents would. maybe then so many kids wouldn’t be obese. YES, OBESE.
