What adoption related blogs or sites are you reading right now?

Question by Gershom: What adoption related blogs or sites are you reading right now?
I recently discovered ChildLaw and its REALLY GOOD.

http://www.childlaw.us/

Does anyone else have a favorite adoption related blog or site they want to share?
Hey thanks for some new links, some here I haven’t seen or heard of before so I’m stoked on that! Especially the China ones. I appreciate it thank you!

I heart Childlaw.

Also the wonderful Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute:

Desiree and Usha’s Fleas Biting:
http://fleasbiting.blogspot.com/

And for China, Brian Stuy’s blog, Research China:
http://research-china.blogspot.com/

And so many blogs from adult adoptees, it makes my head spin (and keeps me up till, ahem, almost 2am yet again), including many who post here (Possum, Amy, Jae-Ran, Harlow’s Monkey, Ethnically Incorrect Daughter, late lamented Twice the Rice, and many others). And some from adoptive parents also (Third Mom, Just enjoy him, Clueless in Carolina). And first moms’ also. I need to go to bed, or I would post highlights. Maybe I’ll come back tomorrow.

And can’t resist throwing in the related (for me at least) blogs on Race:

Sharon’s Wicked Awesome Blog Book (Blogs, Blogs, Blogs….)

Sharon’s Wicked Awesome Blog Book (Blogs, Blogs, Blogs….)

A compilation of blogs written by historical fiction author Sharon Desruisseaux. Though her other novels might be more on the serious side, this book is filled with her whimsical adventures of moving from busy Southeastern Massachusetts to the wilderness of Maine with her daughters. There is some sad and heart wrenching blogs mixed in just for the variety that her life seems to be. The blogs are of how a suburban Mom learned how to be a farmer in the mountains and how she began to make her dream of becomming a novelist a reality. In this collection of blogs are her struggles, intepretations of the cultural differences she moved to and how she learned to overcome obstacles that seemed to have constantly been thrown in her path. You laugh, you cry and wonder why….A compilation of blogs written by historical fiction author Sharon Desruisseaux. What are the best blogs for moms with five to ten year old kids?

Question by authoritative: What are the best blogs for moms with five to ten year old kids?
I’m looking for blogs written by moms about parenting. I’m specifically interested in the five to ten year old range since most blogs focus on early childhood. I’d like a list of ten to fifteen so I can pick which ones I like best. Thanks!

Blogs about healthy eating/recipes?

Question by Lalala: Blogs about healthy eating/recipes?
I’m looking for a blog or something similar that I can find tons of advice and tips on healthy eating as well as a lot of good recipes for healthy/low calorie foods. Also, preferably recipes that don’t include a lot of expensive ingredients (I’m pretty strapped for cash right now). I’ve been gaining weight recently because I’ve been eating off the Mcdonald’s dollar menu and such because I’m going through a hard time and don’t have a whole lot of money coming in, so cheap but healthy/low cal. recipes are perfect. Thanks!

Hi,

living on the McDonald’s dollar menu will affect your health in the long run. It is possible to eat healthy foods at low cost.
You can have a smoothie in the morning with seasonal fruits (they can be very cheap), low fat yogurt or milk. If you like lentils and beans you can have a vegetarian meal. Lentils and legumes do not cost much, are delicious, contain good fat, good proteins and nutrients.
You can also buy canned fruits and vegetables…they are cheaper. Make sure to rinse them before eating. Another healthy option is to buy frozen fruits and vegetables so you ‘ll always have some when needed. You can visit my site to get more tips and guidelines on healthy eating and a blog where you might find interesting stuff.

Hope that helps
