traditional Uk Christmas dinner or low fat alternatives?

Question by LESLEY D: traditional Uk Christmas dinner or low fat alternatives?
okay I know that this question is out of season but its part of my DT course-work so sensible , honest answers pleaze.

My topic is how Christams can affect our diet and health and my objective is to come up with a low fat alternative to turkey and all the trimming?
My menu.
Turkey casserole.
upsidedown cake./ basic victoria sponge.
ginger bread men.
lemon iced tea and ginger ale.

Now would you want to swap your Christmas dinner for that.??
Or do you say blow the diet give us the turkey.

Answer by JJ
The regular turkey itself is OK. It’s the gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc. At least that’s the typical US Christmas dinner. If I did it I think I would go with:

Turkey
2 or 3 low fat vegetable dishes
Angel food cake
iced tea
