I just finished working out and its almost 10pm I have not ate dinner yet so I thought I better eat something because I am a little hungry I will not be going to bed anytime soon probably not till at least 2 am. Just wondering what some healthy options would be to eat for dinner!? I like pasta, and I also was thinking maybe a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Anyone got any other ideas??! Thanks!!
Answer by Jamie I like to have a blended mix of things. I use water instead of milk (lactose not good for the muscles). Here is what I drink (organic is best)
put into blender: water, flax seed, hemp hearts, one banana, slice of ginger, mixed berries, oatmeal, and some protein powder (put an egg in instead because protein powder isn’t healthy for you).
A peanut butter and banana sandwich is real good too, but dont use the crap white bread, get some good whole grain organic bread!
hope this helps. Oh and dont forget to blend. Its great when its blended because its easy for your body to absorb and you dont need to break down the food.
So basically you want to replenish your body with good organic food. Make sure you include some protein because that will help your muscles recover.
Pasta is good too but its even better about 2 hours before your workout to give you the energy you need (bananas are also good for energy).
