37th instalment in the Food project series

I decided to prepare a vegetarian Korean combo. A miso soup, a couple vegetable dumplings (veggie mandoo) with a vegetarian bibimbap. My bibimbap consisted of rice, tofu strips cooked in teriyaki sauce, carrot, cucumber, mushroom, onion topped with seaweed (nori).

I missed the Olympics project, so I added a little “Olympic flair” to the Food project.

There’s debate about the original meaning behind Coubertin’s 1912 design. According to Coubertin, in what many believe was an afterthought, the ring colors stand for those that appeared on all the national flags that competed in the games at the time. Nowadays, the International Olympic Committee just says the symbol "reinforces the idea" that the Olympic movement is international. More political correctness, I guess.

No doubts about M&Ms, however. Created in 1941 and named after Forrest Mars and Bruce Murrie of Hershey’s.

They were good, by the way.
